Every time I mentioned YOTEL Singapore on a conversation about traveling in this city-state, one would ask me, that's the one with robots, right? You are not completely wrong, this hotel in the heart of Orchard Road employs two robots, named Yoshi and Yolanda as their guest service officers. If you were to request a slipper or a bottled water to your room, chances are, these robots will deliver your requested items to your room.

But based on my recent stay in this four-star ultra modern property owned by this British hotel chain, there's more than just robots about this hotel. I had the opportunity to stay at the 16-square metres Premium Queen View Room. With a well lit modern design, the room features a queen bed that is called 'SmartBed', which is adjustable using a button. Space efficient as it is, there is a foldable desk under the television and a foldable bench if you need to make yourself a temporary workspace.

The bathroom has a grand view of Orchard Road and the areas surrounding Singapore's iconic shopping hub. Probably, the best view you can get while you are doing your number one, or number two. But not to worry, there's a curtain that you can drop by a touch of a button if you need more privacy.

Worrying about getting into this hotel? The hotel is in the centre of Orchard Road. It is easily accessible through International House building, which is at the Shaw Building exit of Orchard MRT Station. It is only a stone's throw away from ION Orchard, Wheelock Place Tang Plaza and Lucky Plaza.
